Kawangware in Kenya

Kawangware was the place we paid a visit yesterday as one of our projected area where we want to pilot our projects in Nairobi County. Here's a small preview of the place http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawangware

The idea was to meet the chief of the area who was to help us identify the beneficiaries who we are to work with. It was tasking as we tried to locate the chief's office since its somewhat located inside the village and would take a visitor some extra effort to locate the place. The reception was warm from the secretary who told us to wait on the already long queue and this showed that the office is in most cases busy. The chief who later informed us that he is only available on Monday and Friday, while the rest of the days he is out for field visits or official meetings received us well.

He explained his interest in working with us and informed us to have another meeting with him on Friday the same week. This is to plan on how we could roll out the project and probably get to the community to begin interacting with them.

We are very excited and looking forward to it.
